Youth Sector Support Fund Conference
We are pleased to announce bookings are open for this year’s Youth Sector Support Fund Conference which we've reshaped to meet the new circumstances and new needs of the sector in light of COVID-19.
The Conference will be held over four online sessions between early October and mid December (see dates below). By booking your place you wil automatically be enrolled on to all four sessions. We’ll be providing keynote speakers, workshops and opportunities to network with colleagues. We’ll also be giving participants the chance to input to the developing Voluntary Youth Sector Strategy.
The first session, on 6 October featured a presentation from Gary Davies, Head of Early Intervention & Safer Communities at Bristol City Council, who updated us on Bristol Council strategy and policy to support young people and families through the next stage of the COVID-19 emergency. Quartet Community Foundation launched their report into the current position of youth sector voluntary organisations.
This four-session format will allow us to reflect and support you with the changes we’ll face between now and the end of the year. The workshops, presentations and other input will keep you updated on the latest ideas about youth work practice, and the latest information to keep your organisation sustainable through difficult times.
Although there will be four separate events this is one conference and will work best for everyone if there’s a commitment for you to attend every session.
The Conference is for anyone involved in delivering youth work and managing youth sector organisations. We welcome paid workers, volunteers and trustees.

What else do you need to know?
To take part you will need a laptop with a camera, microphone, and Wi-Fi. You will not require any additional software. You will be emailed an invitation with a link to join the online training prior to the course.
Voscur is running all training online, due to the ongoing public health situation with coronavirus (COVID-19). This decision was taken in line with local and national health advice, and to safeguard the health of our attendees and staff. We are aware that many VCSE organisations in the city are focusing their efforts on providing and changing their services to respond to communities. For more information about coronavirus, see https://www.voscur.org/content/covid19-service-users.
