The new committee system is almost here, replacing the existing mayoral model on May 5th 2024.

This briefing from the cross-party working group will help bring you up to speed with the latest updates, and give you an idea of what to expect from the committee.

The working group has been developing the structure of the new model, including:

• reviewing the functions of all council committees
• making any changes to ways of working
• undertaking a range of engagement activities with the public

Back in July 2023 the group met with VCSE sector attendees at Voscur's 'Have Your Say' event and similarly are keen to engage with the sector. If you are a VCSE organisation in the Bristol area please do come along to find out more.
