Volunteers at BDP come from diverse backgrounds and experiences but all share a drive to make a difference to the lives of the people we work with. Our volunteer’s values come above their job history or qualifications. If you share our attitudes, we can teach you the skills needed to volunteer.
We are now recruiting for 6 different volunteer roles.
Project: providing free confidential harm reduction advice, information and support in our central advice centre and needle exchange.
Creative Communities: supporting Rising Voices Recovery Choir and / or Bristol Recovery Orchestra.
Allotment: joining our new project to rejuvenate our much loved allotment with a community of service users and volunteers.
Club and Festival: offering harm reduction advice at venues and festivals such as Motion, Lakota, Love Saves the Day and Pride.
Youth Groups: supporting children who live in households where there is substance use. For more information on this role please contact Danielle or Kath in The Community Team on 0117 987 6008.
Diverse Communities: finding innovative ways to engage with people from Bristol diverse cultural and faith communities who also use alcohol and other drugs.
Project Volunteer Training: 8 days (9.30am—4.30pm)
Other roles may need to attend less days – we will discuss this at interview. Youth Volunteers have separate training .

Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd February
Thursday 9th and Friday 10th February
Thursday 16th and Friday 17th February
We refund travel, lunch and childcare expenses for training and for volunteering.
