Details of Role: 

Offices based in central Bristol (St Nicks Market, BS1) - Role allows working from home. Must be available on Tuesday mornings for team meetings. Other hours can be negotiated.

Many Minds is a Bristol based mental health charity that facilitate creative spaces and make performance with people managing their mental health. We work with individuals to engage with their creativity, improve confidence, self-esteem and build social skills and networks. We run workshops in theatre making skills to devise and create high quality contemporary performance.

Many Minds is a member-led charity that was founded by Viki Browne and Olivia Ware in 2017, who have a passion and drive to make performance arts more accessible and inclusive for people experiencing mental ill-health. 

We have been rapidly growing in the last five years and have ambitious plans for the future. The Company Administrator will play a crucial role in a small team and will be responsible for the smooth running of all Many Minds’s operations. The role is key to ensuring the organisation has the capacity, resources and administration systems to achieve its goals. There is scope for this role to grow and develop.  

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

Maintain Many Minds' financial systems, process payments, compile budgets and generate reports for staff, trustees and funders.  

Manage relations with payroll agency and NEST pensions and process gift aid payments to HMRC.  

Be key point of contact with external IT agency and manage any issues that arise relating to IT systems. 

Attend meetings, write and circulate minutes, update Many Minds’s diary, manage appointments and send out reminders.  

Book and manage relations with venues that Many Minds use for workshops, events and performances. 

Research and find new venue for Many Minds workshops and office space. 

Update and manage Many Minds’s contacts and reporting database, maintain relationships with key stakeholders and manage data in line with data legislation. 

Support the development of Many Minds monitoring and evaluation systems, update entries and run evaluation reports.  

Assist in organising and coordinating fundraising events, develop fundraising packs.  

Research new potential funding streams for Many Minds, write applications to funders and fill in award applications and expressions of interests. 

 Liaise with printers / designers and coordinate the distribution of flyers, posters and other promotional materials.  

Write up case studies and content for Many Minds promotional materials and update social media platforms.  

Take on general administration tasks required by Many Minds.  

 

JOB SPECIFICATION  

●At least 2 years' experience working in an administrative role  

●Strong financial skills and an excellent eye for detail  

●Experience managing budgets and creating financial reports (knowledge of Quick-books desirable)  

●Experience managing databases and generating reports.  

●Experience with uploading content to websites and social media platforms  

●Good team player  

● We are a small flexible dynamic team working to deliver a variety of projects we are looking for someone who is willing and able to take initiative and work with a varied workload. 

●Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a wide range of people from funders to participants  

●A general can-do attitude with a drive to see tasks through to completion  

●A keen interest in mental health, the arts and the work of Many Minds  

●Some experience in the charity sector is desirable
