Could you engage with grant funders, convincing them to use their funds to change the lives of thousands of people in Bristol?  Could your communication and creative skills encourage supporters to donate and fundraise on behalf of inHope?

Our dynamic Fundraising and Communications team is looking for a full time Fundraising Officer.  This new role will help inHope provide the support needed to help people living in insecurity overcome the injustices of homelessness, poverty and addiction. You would report to the Development & Relationships Manager.

The role includes two main elements:

Grant Application writing - Apply your persuasive writing skills and experience to secure income that will change people’s lives through building relationships with funders, preparing funding applications and submitting reports. inHope seeks grant funding in excess of £250K each year.

Community Fundraising – Use your communication and creative skills to engage with various audiences through activities and events which inspire people to donate and to fundraise on behalf of inHope.

"A great group of people to work with and a job where you feel you're making a difference to people's lives."

(Previous team-member)

  • 28 days holiday plus paid Bank Holidays.
  • Workplace pension with matched contribution of up to 5%.
  • Access to inHope’s Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Option for hybrid working.

This role has been advertised with a salary range – we are keen to hear from candidates with an existing grant and community fundraising track record and from those who are looking to start a career in this area of work. Interviews will take account of your experience and training will be provided for those who need it.

inHope is an established Christian charity with a broad support base that has been working in Bristol for over 35 years. We are dedicated to helping those with life disrupting problems, such as food poverty, homelessness and addiction, to establish healthy and independent lives.

There are Occupational Requirements for each role to be filled by a Christian. We particularly encourage applications from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) candidates.  Our Statement of Faith, Vision and Values are available upon request.
