At BOOM, our ethos revolves around improving Bristol's Acting Infrastructure.

We are looking for volunteers to support our project with marketing and communications. This role would suit anyone who has an interest in this area, has just left education or is studying in this subject and would like some experience. Formal education not required and we’re welcoming individuals with a passion and creative flare.

We’re open for this role to evolve and we’re willing to encourage and support your growth and further involvement with BOOM Creatives.

Who are we?

Founded by actors, for actors, we embrace the notion that acting encompasses more than mere artistic expression — it is a thriving business and in the era of all the available streaming platforms, there's no better time than today to become an actor. As a fresh initiative, our primary objective is to support artists learning and understanding the intricacies of the industry while empowering them to turn their passion into a sustainable livelihood. We are keen to support immigrant and working class artists and we’re shaping our services to be reflective of this. We’re inclusive, accessible and value in-person connections.  

What's involved?

  • Posting content onto social media platforms about our events, services and other useful information for our members.
  • Helping to create content with platforms such as Canva and Mailchimp.
  • General admin duties such as obtaining photo consent, filing images for use via social media, making posters, updating exhibition boards and obtaining feedback from our events to publish.
  • Making video content for social media.
  • Contribution to the website / blog.
  • Occasionally attend events and make partnerships.

Relevant skills and experience needed:

  • A passion for marketing
  • Ability to work as a team
  • Good communicator
  • Experience of posting content on social media would be ideal but not essential.
  • To adhere to BOOM’s policies and procedures
  • Happy to take initiative and ownership for your own work

Commitment of a minimum 12 hours a month, for at least 3-6 months.
