Horizon Disability Friendship Group is a group for adults with a learning or physical disability and their friends and family.  We provide a fun, safe and inclusive environment for everyone for activities such as games, music and workshops. 

We believe that everyone deserves to have the opportunity to participate in activities that they enjoy, regardless of their disability. That's why we offer a variety of activities that are accessible to people with all types of disabilities.

As a volunteer you will be working in a team to support our members in the activities that we are offering that evening.  The group meets weekly at the Greenway Centre from 6pm to 8pm.  Even if you can’t make volunteering with us a weekly commitment, we would still like to hear from you so we can create a rota of volunteers insuring we are never short of help.  You will not be providing personal care and full training is provided.

• You are caring, patient and friendly
• You are a good communicator
• You have a good understanding of the importance of boundaries and developing positive relationships
• You can reliably commit to regular volunteering of a minimum of once a month
