Role title: Activity Support Volunteer for Hoppiness Project
Purpose of the role: Supporting elderly residents to engage in our monthly therapeutic activity sessions at two care home in Bristol.
You will help participants to engage in nature-based, multisensory activities and with each other, with the aim of improving their wellbeing in a holistic way (mentally, physically, cognitively, socially). We will grow hops and brew beer - brewery trip included!
What you will be doing:
Helping set up resources and materials for activities
Supporting participants socially and with nature- based activities (gardening and green crafts), reminiscence
Passing on any queries or issues to project leaders
Helping pack away at end of session

Learning more about dementia and other illnesses and disabilities - training opportunities in the field
