Our Supported Housing Support service provides low to medium housing related, floating support to people living in our dispersed, semi-independent accommodation, who may experience a range of complex needs including homelessness, drug and alcohol misuse, offending and mental health issues. Our aim is to support and enable people to overcome barriers, achieve their potential and secure appropriate move-on accommodation, with/without support.
Senior Support Workers assist the Team Manager, ensuring the provision of user-led, trauma informed, high quality, effective and comprehensive support to clients. Duties include:
Providing day to day leadership and support to your direct reports
Maintaining an oversight of support and safety and inclusion planning and delivery
Managing the safety of staff, clients and others within your remit and across the wider team
Managing effective referral/nomination/move-on/void processes
Managing and escalating day to day and serious incidents
Ensuring regular supervisions and effective case management
Promoting effective team working and communication within and across supported housing and housing management teams
Contributing to service development workstreams and improvements, particularly around embedding a psychological, adversity and trauma informed approach
Ccarrying out regular quality assurance checks and monitoring performance
Attending and facilitating meetings
Reporting on KPIs and supporting the Team Manager with end month/other reports, providing updates as required.
Ideally, you will have a minimum of two years’ experience of working with people with complex needs in supported housing and/or community support fields. Experience and understanding of working with people with multiple/complex needs, homelessness, mental health or drug/alcohol dependency is essential. Previous line management or supervisory experience is an advantage but not essential.
