Details of Role:

Sims Hill is a community supported agriculture project in Frenchay.

We have 180 households eating our vegetables every week, as well as making decions about how we run our project. We also run our soil connections group for people affected by the asylum system, run volunteer days and do year long workshare programmes to share knowledge about the running of a peri-urban farming project.

We are looking for people to help in our pack shed on a Thursday morning. It is a busy time for us, especially as the season picks up, and it is really useful to have extra hands getting our vegetables out. We also run our soil connections group on Thursday mornings meaning it is a big day with lots of people to chat to over coffee break.

We are looking for someone who is ok with a bit of chaos and plans changing, up for a laugh in the pack shed, can bear listening to our terrible singing along with the music, and also is up for packing vegetables all morning.

If we get the jobs done we also will all go out side to do a small bit of farm work but this is not the focus of the volunteer position. We are looking for people who want to have a regular commitment, so please get in touch if you think this sounds like you.

If we have left over veg you are welcome to take some, and if someone pulls out of our workshare programme it is possible that you can take that on so you know you will get a veg box each week!

We are located at grow wilder.
