Details of Role: 

In this role you will be working in our asset team delivering our planned works program. You will provide a high-quality customer-focused and professional repairs service, including the delivery of planned, cyclical and major project works whilst ensuring that our homes and customers are safe, and works are carried out in accordance with Health & Safety policies and statutory obligations.

Although not an exhaustive list, key responsibilities include:

  • Provide high-quality customer-focused and professional Asset Management services, whilst ensuring programmes, projects and contractors are effectively managed and high-quality asset management services provided.
  • Deliver a range of pre and post works inspections to ensure the right work is completed to a high standard that meets customers’ needs and is in line with our policies, procedures and statutory requirements.
  • Programmes of works will include, planned component replacements, planned cyclical painting and repair programmes, other major works projects / programmes, and large / complex responsive works
  • Work closely with suppliers and internal departments, such as Finance and Data & Performance teams to provide robust financial management and performance reporting for projects.
  • Support the Brighter Places ‘Out of Hours’ service in line with our Out of Hours Policy.

For this role we are looking for individuals who have:

  • A further education qualification (e.g. HNC, degree) and/or relevant construction, maintenance or building related professional qualification.
  • Track record of delivering excellent customer service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with a diverse range of customers.

  • Technical problem solving and skilled in assessing technical information as well as deivising and implementing appropriate solutions.

  • Excellent IT skills and use of buisness systems.

  • Valid driving license

  • A good practical knowledge and experience of, working with asbestos, working within CDM Regulation, monitoring Safe Systems of Working, and contract and project management experience.
