At our Dementia Meeting Centre in Bristol, we deliver fun, engaging and person-centred support and activity sessions for people living with dementia and their carers.
Purpose of the role
To support meeting centre members with dementia and their carers to enjoy sessions
Engage participants in chat & activities
To help develop a warm and friendly meeting centre community
What you will be doing:
Welcoming members
Helping staff set up and carry out activities
Offering a friendly face and listening ear
Making and serving refreshments
Supporting people on trips and at events
Giving people information about other services
Helping clear away after sessions
Locations and times
Tuesdays and Thursdays - mornings or afternoons

Our expectations
You feel comfortable being with older people, some of whom have mild to moderate dementia
You are willing to learn about dementia
You will attend Alive’s dementia training and other relevant training
You are reliable and communicate your availability
You agree to an enhanced DBS check
