Small grants to support older and younger people facing disadvantage

12 July, 2022

Grants of up to £5,000 are available to grassroots and volunteer-led charities, community groups, CICs and social enterprises working with intergenerational activities and/or community regeneration that benefit the health and wellbeing of older people across the UK. The funding is made available through the McCarthy Stone Foundation - Small Grants Programme to support older people facing isolation, loneliness, or poor health; young people who may be falling behind personally and academically; and communities in need of regeneration.

The types of projects previously supported have included an intergenerational dementia allotment project, and the regeneration of a community space for a ‘shed’. Applicants should submit an expression of interest in the first instance by the 31st July 2022.
