Join ACHRAMP and the elected Mayor of Bristol, Marvin Rees as we launch our first State of the City report, 'From Sanctuary to Opportunity | Creating a better future for refugees in Bristol and the West of England' through the Change Makers Project.

1pm - 4:30pm | Thursday 31 March 2022 | Trinity Centre, BS2 0NW

This afternoon event will launch our first State of the City Report, where we examine refugee and migration local and regional policy to identify opportunities for positive change in Bristol and the wider west of England region.

Join us and celebrate the extraordinary contribution of refugee and migrant communities to our city and region, network over a traditional Somali lunch and discuss the need to build a strong partnership to deliver for all our communities.

We'll hear from an expert panel, discussing key findings and issues highlighted by the report, including:

  • Effective pathways to employment
  • The role of ESOL and learning
  • Access to housing and support services
  • Challenges posed by the 'two tier' system outlined in the Nationality and Borders Bill

Help us support refugees and migrants to build better, brighter futures in the West of England.

About the Change Makers Project

The Change Makers Project is a 5-year partnership project between ACH and RAMP, funded by Comic Relief, that will link together the wider refugee sector to influence city-level and regional strategies.

Through the project, we aim to ensure that all refugees have the opportunity to reach their full social and economic potential.
