Manor Farm Community Hub is looking for an enthusiastic person with time to give to fill an important new role on of Finance Officer for their Core Group as they move forward -  with the process of securing the lease for the new community facility  on the site of the former St Peter’s Elderly Persons’ Home in Bishopthorpe Road.

Key responsibilities

As Finance Officer you will work alongside our current Treasurer, with some financial/accounting  skills.

The main tasks will be firstly to handle day-to day finances and bookkeeping and to produce annual accounts for Companies’ House, and secondly to take an expert role in producing the spreadsheets and projections and any other finances-related material that will very shortly over the next couple of months be required to form part of our Business Plan.

We need to prepare this ready for the CAT (Community asset transfer)  process leading to the securing of the lease on the new facility, which process will be opening in this Autumn 2022, at which point we need to submit the Business Plan.

In general, we are looking for someone with the time to give to the role who is able and willing to commit to it long-term
