Could YOU become a Volunteer Telephone Befriender? 
Are you able to offer emotional support and companionship to an unpaid carer?  Many carers are isolated and find talking to someone who understands can really help. 
You’d provide regular phone, email or Skype contact with 3/4 carers for around 45 mins every week to support them in their caring role.  
You will need to demonstrate sensitivity in communicating with people who care for someone who is unwell and be able to manage boundaries. 
If you are reliable, have experience or an awareness of the issues that carers’ face, and have good listening and communication skills, we would love to hear from you.  
We provide an excellent package of training and on-going support to all our volunteers.
