For an immediate start, we wish to appoint two enthusiastic and organised Advisors to support the delivery and administration of the Information and Advice (I&A) service delivered to older people throughout South Gloucestershire.

This role will include responding to incoming Information and Advice queries made in person at the main office, by telephone or by email, about rights, policies, and practices for older people and about national, local or internal services and agencies. There will be a particular emphasis on Welfare Benefits which will involve supporting older people to access and complete application forms to claim the financial support to which they are entitled. The appointed candidate will also be providing general administrative support to the I&A Team, including booking and managing appointments for our dedicated Welfare Benefits Advisors.

Candidates will have strong administration skills along with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. We welcome applications from those with experience working in an advice-giving capacity and knowledge of current welfare benefits relevant to older people or those interested in moving into a role in this area, as full training can be provided. While each role will have a regular working pattern, the appointed candidates will need to have the flexibility to cover the holiday of their counterparts.

Age UK South Gloucestershire is committed to equalities, diversity and inclusion and therefore encourages applications from all sections of the community.

How to Apply:

If that person could be you, download an application pack from our website: www.ageuksouthglos.org.uk. Please return completed application forms to us directly via the information on our website. Applications will not be accepted when submitted via agencies or other recruitment platforms.
