St Mungo’s Assertive Contact & Engagement (ACE) Service is a psychologically led service that works with people with mental health needs, including people who are particularly marginalised either as individuals or groups.  Our clients are not actively engaged with other services, and face multiple and complex barriers and engagement issues. The service operates across Bristol, running a variety of services including community one to one work, therapeutic groups and drop-ins, and training for other services.

As Service Manager you will work with the Regional Head to ensure the service maintains strong links with other voluntary, community and statutory mental health services and maintains strategic partnerships across the city; and play a key role in ensuring the ACE team provide a quality service. Key responsibilities in this role will be:

  • Working with the Regional Head you will oversee the smooth running of the service ensuring outcomes and key performance indicators are met.
  • Maintaining operational day to day management of the service ensuring it continues to meet the needs of the clients it supports.
  • Line management of Deputy Managers and Psychologists, offering motivation and supervision to deliver high quality services with a recovery-focused and person-centred approach.
  • Working proactively and creatively with other partner organisations and stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for our clients

About you

We are looking for a creative individual with experience of working with partner agencies to deliver high quality outcome-focused services in a relevant context. You will also have:

  • Experience of managing staff and/or volunteers in a fast paced environment; or the willingness to develop these skills.
  • The ability to effectively prioritise your own time and workload and come up with practical ideas to improve services.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with a variety of people.
  • Have a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the needs of the service.
