We are a charity with a vision to see the talents and abilities of young people in greatest need held in high esteem

ASDAN’s mission is to engage young people aged 11 to 25 years in greatest need to achieve meaningful learning outcomes, which elevate them to go on to further education, training or work, and empower them to take control of their lives.

We are currently recruiting for new board members and are particularly looking for trustees with professional backgrounds and experience in:

  • SEND in mainstream schools and/or alternative education settings
  • Teacher and/or youth worker professional development
  • Digital learning and infrastructure
  • Premises management

Based in Bristol, ASDAN has a successful history of working alongside mainstream and special schools, further education colleges, pupil referral units, local authorities and a variety of voluntary and community organisations across the UK and the rest of the world.

We specialise in developing and accrediting personal, social and employability skills and attributes, and offer both regulated qualifications and accredited curriculum programmes.  Our provision is accessible for young people learning at Entry Levels 1, 2 and 3 and Levels 1 to 3.   We value their contributions to learning, work and society, supporting them to create the roles they want to play in the world.

Everything we do is underpinned by a commitment to professional learning with teachers and educators in order to secure quality and equality of opportunity for the young learners we are here to support.

If you share a commitment to our mission and have the energy, expertise and experience to make a difference with us, we would love to hear from you.

We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive board that reflects the young people we serve, and encourage and welcome applications from suitably qualified candidates from all backgrounds and perspectives. There will be a comprehensive induction and support programme for all new trustees.
