On the 1st August, we will be running our Lunchtime Launch Event, featuring guest speaker Elena Remigi, at Broadmead Baptist Church. Elena is the editor of ‘In Limbo’ and ‘In Limbo Too’two collections of testimonials collated, to represent the voices of millions who face uncertainty over their post-EU referendum futures. ‘In Limbo’ is a collection of personal accounts from EU citizens living in Britain, while ‘In Limbo too’ captures those of UK citizens living elsewhere in the EU.

Elena will talk the audience through:

  • The process of editing the texts and how she collected the testimonials.
  • Emergent patterns between testimonials
  • The power of testimonial, as a medium and research methodology, and how it might be used to re-group and reunite communities during and after Brexit.

The aim of this session is to provide an engaging, informative and insightful introduction to Brexit testimonial, to help prepare those who either work with or represent those personally affected by the Brexit process, or are interested in connecting with wider communities on these matters.

A full range of EDIC Bristol’s resources and free publications will be available and EDIC project officer, Natasha Lees, will be at hand to answer questions about the service, the EU (along with its policies / institutions), and chat to attendees about how EDIC Bristol can reach your communities.

The event will be held at Broadmead Baptist Church, 1 Whippington Court, Bristol.

The space will be open from 12.00, for registration and mingling around our pop-up EU hub and buffet.

The talk with Elena Remigi is at 12.30-13.00.  No prior registration is needed.  Buffet food will be provided.
