The Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group (BNSSG CCG) is commissioning new adult community health services. This session will support smaller VCSE organisations to form sub-contracting relationships with larger organisation/s that will be bidding directly for the CCG contract.

What is this session about?

This session is about the structure and processes involved in subcontracting within the commissioning process. It will outline the ways in which smaller organisations can identify how they might contribute to the delivery of larger contracts and commissions and how to go about connecting effectively with contractors around delivery.

What will you learn?

  • What a subcontract is and how you could get involved
  • How to deal with power imbalances and risks involved in approaching contractors for partnerships or subcontracts
  • How to identify your own organisation's potential contribution to the contract
  • How to draw up a Memorandum of Understanding with a contractor

Who is the course for?
Smaller VCSE organisations wishing to provide delivery outcomes within the BNSSG CCG’s Community Health Services contract.
Places at this session are popular and smaller, local VCSE organisations working in Bristol will be prioritised.

The type of constitution your organisation has and its legal identity e.g. Ltd company, Trust, CIC
The aims, vision and mission of your organisation and an understanding of the services it currently provides
