Marmalade Trust started Loneliness Awareness Week (LAW) just three years ago. It was really apparent to us that raising awareness is an important part of changing the way we think and acknowledge loneliness.  We need to talk about it.

We believe loneliness is something all of us will experience at some point in our lives. We wanted to start a national conversation around loneliness. A fun and friendly campaign across all demographics, to encourage people to recognise loneliness in both themselves and others and feel inspired to come together to do something about it. 

Everyone can get involved: as an individual, a community, business, public sector organisation or a school. We are asking you to pledge on our website or on our social media page. www.marmaladetrust.org

Could you hold an eventNo idea is too big or too small. Anything from getting some neighbours around for tea and a chat to a full on street party. You could instigate a group lunch at work or a picnic in the park with new mums, a games night or a group cycle, the list goes on. The Marmalade Trust does not want to reinvent the wheel, so we will signpost people to events and activities that are already happening, let us know about yours. We know there is a lot out there already established and up and running and we would like to support you to reach people who would enjoy taking part..  

We already have hundreds of organisations, communities, individuals, businesses and stakeholders on-board for this year’s campaign and we’d love YOU to get involved!
