Alive Activities Ltd

We are a Registered Charity based in Bristol which provides activity workshops for people now living in residential care, this includes the very old, those living with Alzheimers/Dementia, those living with physical disabilities, degenerative illnesses, learning difficulties or more serious mental disorders. We deliver these interactive sessions at several different care homes and day centres each day, we currently work at over 200 homes in Bristol, Bath, South Gloucestershire, Gloucestershire and North Somerset. Our focus is on treating all participants as valuable individuals, and finding commonality through shared experiences, we do this using music, poetry & verse, quizzes and more physical activities such as dance, giant balloon play and being in a percussion band, the sessions are extremely well received and valued by staff and residents alike. We also provide art workshops, 1-2-1s and interactive ipad sessions. We have a team of eight staff and several volunteers based in the Create Centre, and 11 sessional presenters. We rely heavily on donations from charitable trusts and we are applying for more long-term term funding to help us to reach even more care home residents whose quality of life would be improved by participating in our sessions.
