Bristol Samaritans

Samaritans are available 24 hours a day to provide caring and confidential emotional support to anyone who may be experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those that may lead to self harm or suicide, irrespective of the person's age gender, sexuality, ethnic background or religious beliefs. Our trained volunteers believe being listened to on total confidence and accepted without prejudice or being judged can alleviate these feelings. We also believe everyone has the right to make fundamental decisions about their own life, including the decision to die by suicide if they so wish.

Bristol Branch was founded in 1964 and offers this humanitarian service to the local community of approx 700,000 people in the Greater Bristol, South Gloucester and surrounding areas without any charge
