Supporting Voluntary and Community Action
GILL delivers the 'a SALT course' (Spiritual Activists Leadership Training). This is a yearly training programme, affiliated to schumacher Institute, helping people engaged in social / political / spiritual change work to achieve goals through action-reflection and group support. The programme is designed by participants. All are both participants and leaders. 'a SALT course' is a balance of fun, creativity, deep listening, allotment skill aquisition, spiritual practice, shared food and action. We meet in Bristol. The days assigned currently are Sunday night and Monday day time at the end of the month missing July and August & December (9 half-weekends). Members in the past have included voluntary sector pioneers, green activists and political and trade union activists. The next course we hope will begin in late September 2014.
