Khaas

Khaas - meaning 'special' is an extremely special organisation, which was established in 1988. This organisation caters essentially for South Asian special needs children with a variety of disabilities and their immediate and extended families. It not only offers one to one emotional support and non-judgemental advice to its users, but also provides practical information and assistance in their own language. The families are encouraged and objectively helped to regain their lost confidence and get over their feelings of guilt, shock, anger, anxiety and isolation. Since the organisation caters for a specific target group it is more effective in operating smoothly than a more general group
