Supporting Voluntary and Community Action
The MV Balmoral Trust was established to maintain the MV Balmoral and its community learning activity. The ship is a heritage passenger vessel which was used originally by working class communities for their holidays around the UK coast. The ship is moored in Bristol as an active learning venue with maintenance carried out by an active team of volunteers. It’s operation as a learning venue is achieved by working with community partners that share the aim of changing the demographic of the people using the Bristol harbour-side cultural venues and waterways to truly reflect the all the people who live in the City.
