Maritime Volunteer Service

We aim to: Advance the education and training of the public and particularly young people in all aspects of maritime skills and knowledge.

Stimulate young people's interest and to encourage them to go to sea.
Encourage the development of better systems, equipment and training to improve health and safety in ships registered in or operating from the UK.

Establish and maintain a corps of skilled, uniformed volunteers throughout the UK as a seafaring afloat and ashore service to be made available on request maritime support to existing authorities.

There is a bottom end age of eighteen, but there is no top age end as long you are fit to go to sea.
