No More Taboo

No More Taboo is a not-for-profit social enterprise based in Bristol which sells reusable sanitary products in the UK and invests 100% of the profits into charitable projects that help tackle the taboos surrounding menstruation and sanitation. Our core values are: reducing the environmental impact of disposable sanitary products; breaking the silence around menstruation and sanitation; empowering women, both in the UK and in the developing world, by improving their menstrual hygiene management and access to sanitation.

No More Taboo has three main elements: selling reusable menstrual products and related items, providing education in the UK to young people on the topic of menstruation and running charitable programmes in the UK and in developing countries.

We work on campaigns to break down the taboos, engaging communities and encouraging them to be open about their menstruation. We work with homeless women and women living in poverty in the local area to help them manage their menstruation cost effectively and increase their knowledge on the topic. We also work in developing countries to provide facilities, education and sanitary products.

Our work in Bristol centres around community events, advocacy and working with homeless women. As well as working with young people and schools to help reduce the taboos here in the UK.

We strive to ensure every woman can manage their menstruation effectively, sustainably and without prejudice.
