Supporting Voluntary and Community Action
The aims of the not-for-profit, community based C.H.E.E.S.E. Project are:
1. to assist people in fuel poverty to have warmer, healthier homes.
2. to reduce domestic energy-use to mitigate climate change.
Both can be achieved by increasing the energy efficiency of domestic buildings. We do this by revealing where energy is escaping - by using thermal imaging and reduced internal air pressure. Three quarters of our clients take remedial action within three months. Our surveys are free to low-income households.
