Supporting Voluntary and Community Action
The Adventure Playground is the only open access playground in South Bristol. It actively supports the right of children and young people to access freely chosen play opportunities and to be consulted in matters relating to them. The playground offers a child-centred, challenging, stimulating and safe environment in which children and young people can meet and play. Playground users can help to design, build and transform their own play space using a wide variety of materials and plenty of ingenuity. It opens 6 days a week, after school until 7.30pm and at weekends. In the school holidays it runs a playscheme and is open all day. Users are mainly 8 - 14 year olds, although under 8s are welcome if with a responsible adult
