WE OPERATE AND MAINTAIN THE UNDERFALL BOAT YARD AND PATENT SLIPWAY. THE YARD IS A SCHEDULED ANCIENT MONUMENT. BUILDINGS ARE LET OUT TO MARITIME BUSINESSES TO KEEP THOSE SKILLS ALIVE IN BRISTOL, AND TO ENCOURAGE SMALL AND START UP ENTERPRISES. ALL OF OUR SURPLUS FUNDS ARE USED TO MAINTAIN THE BUILDINGS.
At Unique Voice we aim to improve children’s and young people’s confidence and self-esteem, encouraging them to make positive decisions while ensuring that they feel safe and supported. Through drama and other creative mediums we help children and young people to explore many complicated topics such as healthy and unhealthy relationships, the role of young carers, the different types of bullying, domestic violence and internet safety. Christian worship and life providing resources for local use primarily by our church halls being available for hire. We have a thriving parent and toddler group which meets twice a week at St Christopher's, Hampstead Road, Brislington

University Hospitals Bristol provides healthcare to the local community and specialist services to the South West region
We have various departments at UBU which run services and activities for students - advice, representation, democracy, sports, student development, societies and students can get involved in volunteering and fundraising for the local community. We have a Board of Trustees and run training and development for all our staff and students. We have projects which provide students with the opportunity to get involved in their local communities.
We organise three ten-week terms of activities - discussions, slide shows, talks, conversational French, poetry appreciation, music, drama, and anything in fact that will generate talking, and also in the summer, walking - both activities sadly neglected in modern society.
We also organise special events, exhibitions and sales and publish books to raise money (about £20,000 per annum) for the educational sponsorship of young people in developing countries. Currently we are helping... More
Unseen’s vision is a world without slavery. It works both on the frontline providing direct support to modern slavery survivors and on the big picture, tackling the systemic issues that allow slavery to survive.
