The National LGB&T Partnership is a partnership of eleven LGB&T organisations across England working together to reduce health inequalities and challenge homophobia, biphobia and transphobia within public services. 
 
The Partnership has just published two new resources aimed at supporting local LGBT organisations to push for further engagement from commissioners and those involved in policy development.

The results of the Metro Mayor election are in, with Conservative Tim Bowles winning by a small margin - 4,377 votes ahead of Labour's Lesley Mansell.

The West of England Civil Society Partnership (WoECSP) is a registered Community Interest Company established by Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise sector (VCSE) infrastructure and support organisations across the West of England . The partnership, originally established in 2011, brings together Voscur, CVS South Gloucestershire, The Care Forum, Voluntary Action North Somerset, Wesport, West of England Rural Network and the newly formed B&NES Third Sector Group.

Thursday 4 May 2017 sees an historic election for the first Mayor for the new West of England Combined Authority (WECA), covering Bath & North East Somerset, Bristol and South Gloucestershire.

A guide to the processes of commissioning. This guide was written for people who help others to write bids (e.g. staff in development agencies such as Voscur) but it may also be useful for groups who deliver services directly.

This briefing session is for Bristol community organisations and small businesses. It will include an update on the implementation of Bristol City Council’s Social Value Policy in its first year and what the policy has delivered to date. Participants will find out more about how the council asks bidders to offer social value in tenders and provide the opportunity to discuss their approaches to social value.

The Community Learning Teams in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (Community Learning West) are seeking expressions of interest from organisations to deliver community learning courses to adults aged 19+who do not have a full level 2 qualification, or unemployed adults on means tested benefits who experience significant barriers to entering formal learning or work.

Social value

Social value is the difference that organisations can make in not just what kind of services they deliver, but how they deliver them. Voscur works with commissioners who design and buy services, and VCSE organisations that would like to deliver services, to help them work together to create the most impact and social value through the delivery of public services.
