Join Bristol Fairtrade Network for a new format open social! This is for anyone interest in getting involved in the Fair Trade movement in Bristol, socially or as a volunteer. We'll be joined by Dr. Madge Dresser from social justice educators Journey to Justice, who will be telling us about their month of events coming to Bristol in October, plus our Campaigns and Diversity Officers will be exploring how to enage a diverse population with upcoming Fairtrade campaigns.

What is Bright Ideas?

Bright Ideas is an enterprise competition project aimed at young people between the ages of 16 - 25 years. This year Bright Ideas will be delivered in partnership with Avon and Somerset Police to inspire and connect young people into employment and business.

Bright Ideas consists of: 

• an enterprise pitching competition where shortlisted candidates will present their ideas to a panel of judges with the opportunity of winning prize money towards developing their idea.

Your Neighbourhood consultations

Due to reductions in central government funding and the needs of a growing and ageing population, Bristol City Council will have less money to provide services over the next five years. This series of eight events will discuss its ‘Your Neighbourhood’ consultations which propose how the council could provide certain local services within this reduced budget.
