This webinar from Social Enterprise UK was live-streamed on Wednesday 1 April 2020, and is still available to view online.

It is focused on adapting your business model in light of coronavirus - for example, considering furlough for your workers, and looking at potential new markets. The webinar is led by Colin Downie, Sales and Partnership Director at WildHearts, a leading social enterprise which promotes social change through initiatives that support social mobility, gender equality and much more.

Bristol’s first ever Learning Festival is set to launch with over 260 free learning activities taking place across the city, for people from all backgrounds, ages and abilities.

 

Over 60 organisations will come together to share the joy of learning, encourage people to try something new, and, most importantly, have fun.

 

A range of events, activities, skills sessions and workshops will be available throughout the week including crime scene – finger printing, equine experiences and laughter yoga.

Did you know that Bristol Ferry Boats provide educational trips for schools and community groups? We’re doing a free taster as part of Bristol Learning Festival and we hope your group will join us on Saturday April 4th for a Free Guided Tour of Bristol Harbour learning about the history of the Port of Bristol from the first Anglo Saxon Settlement of Brigstowe, through Bristol’s involvement in Transatlantic Slavery and its Abolition, to Brunel and finally its closure and regeneration.

We are hosting our Agency open morning, Thursday 12th March (10.30am to 12.00 Midday), this is open to other professionals and Organisations, to come along and visit our service, see our Drop-in service and also Van service. We show a small presentation on our Case work, DI, and van support services. The Agency morning visit last for an hour and a half, its not a Drop-in visit.

Come and meet the magristrates at Bristol Civil Justice Centre's open day, and find out about becoming a Family Court magistrate to help local children.

There are currently vacancies for magistrates across Avon, Somerset and Gloucestershire. Magistrates are volunteers who serve the community either in a family court setting or a criminal court setting. You do not need formal qualifications or legal training to become a magistrate, but you will be trained in the role.
