Milestones Trust is a health and social care charity which supports people with learning disabilities, mental health needs and people living with dementia.  The services are provided through a network of residential/nursing care homes and supported living homes throughout the Bristol and South Gloucestershire areas.

We are looking for a volunteer who loves gardening and DIY to help maintain the garden in one of our residential nursing homes in Kingswood, as well as paint the metal fences and a door.

If you are a hands-on person and are looking to make a difference by utilising your skills this would be a great opportunity for you and we would really appreciate your help. The garden needs some TLC, as do the fences and a main door. They plan on having a ramp installed so they are able to use this door once again, as it is currently out of use. There might be the opportunity to do some interior painting throughout the year.

The role would ideally be for 6 hours, either weekly, fortnightly or monthly depending what you are working on. The day can be flexible to suit you.

We can cover travel and some activity expenses.

Please note, for all of our volunteer roles a DBS check will be carried out and references will be taken up. All volunteers have a volunteer induction before starting the role and will be supported by both the volunteer team and a member of staff in the service too.
