SEND and You (SAY) are recruiting for an Information, Advice & Support (IAS) Line Practitioner to join our team. If you have knowledge or experience of Special Educational Needs or Disability (SEND) and can work effectively with children, young people and families, we’d like to hear from you!

This role involves responding to enquiries to our Information, Advice & Support (IAS) line from parents, carers and young people. You will need to be an excellent communicator, with the ability to deal confidently and professionally with a wide range of people. We are looking for an excellent team player with a strong focus on improving outcomes for children, young people and their families. You will strive for excellent standards of customer service, showing empathy and understanding and offering timely information and signposting.

We will provide you with fully accredited training to carry out this role. The role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Salary: Band 1 Point 7 - £22,369 per annum, pro rata to start (SAY Payscale 2024-2025). Move to Band 2 (Point 8-11 - £22,777 to £24,054 per annum, pro rata) upon successful completion of IPSEA training and satisfactory probationary period.

Hours: 16 hours a week, worked over four days – 9.30am-1.30pm. Some flexibility may be needed occasionally to attend team meetings or training.

Location: Royal Oak House, Royal Oak Avenue, Bristol BS1 4GB.
