Main Tasks

An opportunity has arisen to work with some of our city's most marginalised individuals, to support and assist them to once again become productive members of society. Working as part of a friendly and dynamic team, the successful candidate will provide a package of support that utilises a wide range of community-based services to address presenting needs that will enhance the resident’s recovery journey and maintain an ongoing tenancy. We are an accommodation based service. 

Organisational duties and responsibilities

  • To ensure excellent communication with the Senior Support Worker 
  • To provide clear written and verbal reports and information as required
  • To advise, support and motivate the team of volunteers
  • To carry out all tasks to a professional standard in accordance with the policies and procedures of the charity
  • To work effectively with other voluntary and statutory referral organisations
  • To adhere to all policies and procedures as set down by the trustees, with specific reference to Confidentiality, Data Protection Act, Equal Opportunities and Diversity, Health and Safety, Quality Assurance, Safeguarding and Lone Working Policies
  • To maintain accurate documentation and case notes to a high standard within required time frames, including information for statistical purposes
  • To play an active role in promoting the work of the charity 
  • To work collaboratively and proactively with other members of staff, attending and participating in all meetings, skills sharing sessions and appropriate training courses.
  • To work within, and contribute positively to, appropriate culture of established values and expectations embracing and implementing change. 
  • To carry out duties that may be agreed from time to time, in consultation with the Senior Support Worker and/or Project Manager, which relate to the overall development of the charity
  • To include some evening and weekend working (Time off in lieu will be given)
