Bristol City Council is preparing for its most challenging budget gap ever following cuts in Government funding. They will need to save a total of £90.6 million over the next three financial years. The latest total for cuts is based on thorough financial planning and takes into account further anticipated cuts in Government grants, along with other pressures on the Council’s budget such as an increasing demand on services from a growing population.

On 14 March 2018 the Minister for Housing, Communities and Local Government launched the cross government Integrated Communities Strategy Green Paper. The consultation on the Green Paper ends on 5 June and it is open to everyone. The Government is keen to hear from a wide range of interested parties, including those who work with migrant groups and resident communities.

A member of the fostering team and an experienced foster carer will be seeting up in various community venues around the city ready to chat to anyone who is interested in finding out about becoming a foster carer. Even if you are not in position to foster, why not come on behalf of a friend or family member who might make a great foster carer? We have plenty of information to take away!

Unique Voice, a not for profit organisation working frontline with Bristol's young people are hosting their Annual Summer Gala at the Mercure Bristol Grand Hotel on June 7th 2018 @ 7pm-1am - Dress to Impress!

The Unique Voice Annual Summer Gala is in support of Bristol's most vulnerable children and young people and is suported by our patron Sir Patrick Stewart and Bristol's Mayor Marvin Rees.
