The next closing date for Quartet's Wesleyan Grants is this Friday, 11 October. Grants of up to £10,000 will be considered from community groups (that have a constitution), registered charities, not-for-profit companies limited by guarantee and social enterprises based in Bristol that focus on:

To celebrate British Science Week (6-15 March 2020), grants of up to £1,000 will be available for community groups that work directly with traditionally underrepresented people or communities who are not currently involved in science activities.

Funding has been made available from the British Science Association, which runs British Science Week, and the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.

Comic Relief has launched its Community Fund. Grassroots community organisations with an income of less than £250,000 can apply for funding to help them develop their organisation through a Capacity Building Grant of up to £500 or to deliver projects through a Project Delivery Grant of up to £4,000. This new funding programme aims deliver long lasting community driven change. Both funding programmes accept applications on a rolling basis and there are no application deadlines.

Homeless charities can apply for capital grants of up to £5,000 for projects that aim to help homeless people return to the community and enabling them to resume a normal life.  Typically, such organisations may operate small or medium-sized residential or training facilities to assist homeless people.

To be eligible to apply, your charity must have an annual turnover of under £1million and with ‘unrestricted reserves’ of under six months.

NHS England has community grants of up to £2,500 available for voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations with projects that celebrate patient and public involvement in healthcare. This can include service user involvement, carers and citizens.

Your project must show good practice around people's involvement, with the aim of improving health services overall. Partnerships can apply, but the lead group must be a VCSE organisation.

Continuation fund for organisations working with people aged 55+

The Continuation Fund from St. Monica Trust is open for applications from organisations in Bristol, South Gloucestershire, BANES or North Somerset that help people aged 55 and over.

Funding is for continuing projects, rather than new projects, that have already been running successfully for the past two years. The aim of the funding is to increase sustainability and help local causes that can make an impact, by supporting their ongoing work. 

Tampon Tax Fund for women and girls

The Tampon Tax Community Fund local grants, administered by Quartet Community Foundation, are now open for applications until Friday 11 October.

The Fund will offer up to £10,000 for work that supports girls and women. They are particularly interested in hearing from smaller, grassroots, user-led organisations.

Bristol City Council is holding information sessions for its arts and culture Originators Fund – the annual funding stream managed by the Arts & Events team.

The sessions will take place on 16th September 2019 at Mshed, Bristol and will launch Originators Funding for 2020-21.
