The first round of the COVID-19 Community-Led Organisations Recovery Scheme (CCLORS) opens at 10am on Tuesday 28 July 2020. Grants of up to £100,000 are available to organisations led by the community that are facing financial difficulties due to coronavirus. 

Eligible organisations deliver community support and services to support people most at risk of COVID-19. There is an emphasis on supporting Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME)-supporting or BAME-led businesses.

Small grants are available from the Voice and Influence Partnership's Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) Community Fund, to be allocated to community groups that focus on Bristol's black and minority communities. 

Four grants of £250 each will be made, and can be put towards one-off projects or work you are already undertaking.

The application process is simple, and can be completed by email or post; applications close on Monday 27 July 2020.

Following on from the Governments announcement in April that it will be making grant funding available to support the voluntary sector, new funding streams have been launched to support specific activities including food supply and safe accomodation. Knowle West Alliance and Filwood Fantastic are offering small grants to local groups and Knowle West residents with good ideas for helping the community through the C-19 emergency.

Crisis has established an emergency grants fund to support local groups who are financially affected by additional demands on their resources and who have expanded their provision to meet the current needs of those experiencing homelessness across the UK. 

What grants can organisations apply for?

The Henry Smith Charity "Improving Lives" grant programme provides grants to charitable organisations that help people when other sources of support have failed, are inappropriate, or are simply not available.

The fund supports established organisations delivering services directly to beneficiaries. They are looking for services which can demonstrate a track record of success, and evidence the effectiveness of the work.

The Arts Council has suspended the usual grant streams in order to provide emergency support to arts organisations, and to individual artists who are self-employed. The new funds will be open for applications very soon.

If your organisation already receives Arts Council funding, they have changed their requirements during the emergency.
