Bristol City Council is consulting on its Polling Districts and Polling Places Review.

The review identifies potential changes to polling stations and polling district boundaries. It also ensures proper and efficient distribution of polling stations to enable the democratic process.

This consultation will be of particular interest to those organisations working with groups with accessibility requirements.

The Electoral Registration and Administration Act 2013 requires the Returning Officer to decide how many polling stations are required for each polling place and they must allocate electors to the polling stations in such manner as they think most convenient.

The Returning Officer must comment during any review of UK Parliamentary polling districts and polling places on both existing polling stations and the polling stations that would likely be used if any new proposal for polling places were accepted.

The consultation includes maps and information on the changes in each ward.
