Borderlands is a local charity dedicated to working with asylum seekers and refugees in Bristol. It provides free english, maths, art, and computer classes; hot food; a welcome space; mentoring; support and signposting services.
Boss Employment is a social enterprise set up to help people with a learning disability or difficulty find out about work. We provide information, put on events and training as well as support employers interested in employing people. BOSS is linked to many of the employment service providers, colleges and support organisations and can help access the support you need. Family support centre based in Kingswood, Bristol. We are part of the Bristol Community Church Trust (Reg Charity no. 1044496). We aim to provide a safe and confidential space where families and individuals can seek practical and emotional support. The core services we offer are play therapy, adult counselling and parenting courses. We ask for a voluntary contribution for our services but would not turn anyone away if they cannot pay.
Funds medical research into the causes, diagnosis and treatment of dementia. It does this by raising funds from the public and awarding grants to research teams in universities in SW England and S Wales.

Charity to help support those over 55 in need of accommodation in the Bristol area
As the local group covering Bristol & Bath for the MND Association we improve care and support for people with MND, their families and carers in our community, we help fund and promote research that leads to new understanding and treatments, and brings us closer to a cure for MND and we campaign and raise awareness so the needs of people with MND and everyone who cares for them are recognised and addressed by wider society.
Bristol and Bath Regional Capital CIC (BBRC) is an award-winning public benefit investment company aiming to spark change in the Southwest using investment as a tool whilst recycling our profits into the community. We help organisations in the Bristol and Bath area that are making an impact in the community and are aiming to grow and become more sustainable by sourcing investment. BBRC is also the advisor to City Funds, a place-based impact investment fund for Bristol.
We help people who are involuntarily addicted to prescribed psychotropic medication, mainly tranquillisers, sleeping pills and anti-depressants. We were set up in 1985 and become a registered charity in 1996. We run withdrawal groups and provide individual counselling . We run a helpline 4 days a week. We do this by visiting individuals at home, assessing their needs, providing information, signposting where necessary and providing support ourselves through home visits, counselling, weekly groups and short-term groups with specific aims such as Conversation or therapy groups.
