Bristol City Council has set up the Youth Sector Support Fund to support Bristol-based organisations working with local children and young people, aged 8-19 years. This grants programme will support community-based activities that are preventative and focussed on children and young people who may be at risk of adverse outcomes. This can be preventative and early intervention work that addresses:

•    Risky behaviour – e.g. anti-social, crime and being at risk of criminal exploitation
•    Mental health
•    Low aspirations

The Big Give has opened a match funding campaign to support charities working to improve the lives of vulnerable, disadvantaged or underrepresented women and girls in the UK. The Women and Girls Match Fund is making up to £10,000 in match funding available to enable charities that are led by and for women and girls to run their own match funding campaign during one week in October. Priority will be given to applications from charities that are led by Black and minoritised women and girls, LGBTQI women and girls, or Disabled women and girls.

Grants of between £30,001 and £300,000 are available to organisations in England that want to support children and young people facing barriers to make, learn and earn in music. The Youth Music Catalyser Fund will support organisations who want to make music activity more inclusive either by sustaining or scaling up their work or changing sector practice.

Grants of up to £10,000 are available to listed and unlisted Christian places of worship, of any denomination, across the UK towards project development and investigative work up to RIBA planning stage 1, to support churches preparing for a major project, and in developing their project to the point at which they can approach a major grant funder. Grants will never exceed 50% of the net project costs for this phase.

Grants of up to £10,000 are available to registered charities for projects that positively impact communities across England, Scotland, and Wales. The Morrisons Foundation provides funding to support projects that tackle poverty and social deprivation, enhance community spaces, facilities and services, and improve the health and wellbeing of local communities. The funding will support both capital spend and direct project delivery costs. Priority is given to smaller organisations with an annual income of less than £1 million.

Community and voluntary organisations, charities, and other not-for-profit organisations in Bristol, Bath & North-East Somerset, North Somerset or South Gloucestershire can apply for grants of up to £2,000 to support community activities that improve the local environment. The Wessex Water Foundation Environment Fund will support initiatives that improve local biodiversity and environmental sustainability, and reduce water use.

Grants of up to £2,400 are available to support the needs of vulnerable children and young people who have experienced a recent crisis or change in life that has had a significant impact on their wellbeing and their education.

Grants of up to £75,000 will soon be available to charities and CICs led by and for Black, Asian, and minority ethnic (BAME) communities to help people experiencing economic inequity. The funding will be made available through the Lloyds Bank Foundation Racial Equity Fund. As well as the grants the Foundation will also offer development support to enable organisations to provide immediate and long-term support.

Grants of up to £5,000 are available to registered charities to support projects that equip people (18 or older in order) from disadvantaged groups with the critical life skills necessary to gain employment. Priority will be given to projects that target people experiencing multiple deprivation or other groups facing major hurdles to employment, especially; women, people with physical, mental, or learning disabilities, refugees and asylum seekers. The funding is being made available through the Thomas Wall Trust.
