This qualification offers the opportunity for students who are speakers of other languages to learn about the area of Community Interpreting. Students may wish to study the subject as they have an interest in the topic or they may wish to use the qualification as a stepping stone to becoming a Community Interpreter.

If you ever struggle to say what needs to be said, or to challenge behaviours that you find difficult, this fast-paced, one-day course will bring you to a more effective working relationship with colleagues, clients and friends and family members.

We are particularly keen to recruit Individuals who are currently under represented in our volunteer base including:

·        Individuals from the LGBT+ community

The Young Foundation will hold a Co-design workshop on Mental Health and Well-being on Tuesday 18th July 11:30 – 16:00 in Bristol. (Link to Eventbrite invitation below).

This session is specifically for charities and social enterprises that work to improve mental health and well-being. We want to bring organisations working in the same area together so we can understand similarities, differences and gaps in support

Tech4Good Bristol is a free quarterly event for people who are interested in using digital technologies (web, mobile, data) for social good. These events are great opportunities to learn what others are trying, see successful projects and platforms, hear about developing technologies, make new friends and collaborate on new projects.

The workshop will be a fun way of learning about how to campaign for Changing Places, and will be delievered through activities of quizzes, role play and group discussion.

Please note there is no charge for attending and lunch will be provided as part of the day.

A half day (4 hrs) course looking at how to complete effective application forms for ESA, DLA for children, AA and PIP. The course will look at the forms in some detail and go through best practice for form completion to enable the applicant to have the best chances of success on application.  There is a mix of theoretical and practical situations.  Some basic background knowledge of benefits would be required to get the most out of the session but specialist knowledge is not necessary.
