This qualification offers the opportunity for students who are speakers of other languages to learn about the area of Community Interpreting. Students may wish to study the subject as they have an interest in the topic or they may wish to use the qualification as a stepping stone to becoming a Community Interpreter.

A half day (4 hrs) course looking at how to complete effective application forms for ESA, DLA for children, AA and PIP. The course will look at the forms in some detail and go through best practice for form completion to enable the applicant to have the best chances of success on application.  There is a mix of theoretical and practical situations.  Some basic background knowledge of benefits would be required to get the most out of the session but specialist knowledge is not necessary.
