At the Bristol Community Support Services, located at St Paul's Settlement in Bristol, we provide community support and groups, carers support and groups and Black & Minority Ethnic Community Development Work.
The Re-use Network is the national body which supports,assists and develops charitable re-use organisations across the UK. We are the lead, the voice, the technical and business support and the product broker for re-use charities.
Third sector mental health charity
Rising’s mission is to nurture more diverse participation, staffing and leadership across Bristol’s creative sector. We do this by providing 16-25 year olds with professional mentoring, commissioning opportunities, platforms to showcase work, and leadership training. Our USP is the combination of new talent discovery with experienced project management.
We are an inner city youth project working in a full time capacity with hard to reach and disaffected young people. The day work is mainly targeted work, which includes:
-Riverside Youth Project in Education (with education and SSD) to re-engage youngsters by using sport as a platform.
-The Boys Club works at night as a major activity base for young people.
The Rock Community Centre is a centre based in Lawrence Weston providing a facility for people who live in or around the estate. Specific reference is given to the elderly and disabled of all ages.
Our organisation provides accomodation and support, completley free of charge, to families of critically ill children that are staying in the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. We are an independent charity that relies solely on fundraising and donations from the public.
RGSL is the home of Bristol West Indian Cricket Club. We provide sports facilities and function rooms to the local community. Our main area of business include being a base for Bristol West Indian Cricket Club who run several community cricket teams for both youth and adults. We are a volunteer organisation that helps support older people to remain active independent and involved in their communities
Encourages and provides support for the over-50's to become volunteers for the benefit of their local community.
Members choose activities, time donated and when, work in groups, have insurance cover and expenses paid.
Main projects are community support (transport, wellbeing services) via surgery-based patient volunteer groups, working with schoolchildren, care home lay assessors, fuel poverty, gentle activity/musical sessions.
Logos House is a Salvation Army 'Life house' that provides support to people who are homeless and wanting to move on and live independently. The aim of the project is to empower individuals to overcome the barriers they face, achieve their aspirations and move on towards independent living. We believe this can be achieved through tailored support planning, a focus on positive outcomes and celebrating success.
This Salvation Army Centre have a mission objective to help look after the spiritual and physical needs of all persons in the local community.
