Following an initial update from the Office for Civil Society in early November, the government has issued new and detailed guidance on safe and effective volunteering in England during the coronavirus pandemic

The charity Sue Ryder is calling for statutory bereavement leave to support people who are grieving. Whilst statutory paid leave would have an initial cost, Sue Ryder believes the long-term benefits outweigh this and offset the current £23 billion lost to the economy due to grief.

Voscur’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on Thursday 26 November. It will include updates from Voscur and the VCSE sector, and look at the theme of transformation within the sector.

This one-day conference from the Directory of Social Change will help charity and non-profit leaders and board members shape their policies, direction and mission. It is an opportunity to discuss current issues in the VCSE sector, ask questions, and learn from peers. 

Panel discussions will cover topics such as racism in the sector, resilient leadership, online leadership and recuiting a strong board of trustees.
