NCVO is encouraging governing bodies, staff and volunteers to consider integrating its new set of Charity Ethical Principles throughout their work.

The new principles have been developed following extensive consultation with the sector.

The principles include: beneficiaries first, integrity, openness and the right to be safe.

Voscur's popular AGM and Social Impact Awards are back for 2019-20, at the Great Eastern Hall of Brunel's SS Great Britain.

This event will offer the opportunity to network with key activists from across the VCSE sector, as well as with supporters from business, local politics, and the public sector. Following the formal AGM, speeches and drinks, we have the Voscurs - our social impact awards, celebrating the hard work of local organisations and individuals to support their community.

Voscur is advising VCSE organisations in Bristol that have a turnover greater than £100,000 to prepare for cuts to discretionary rate relief.

The Global Parliament of Mayors (GPM) Annual Summit, a major worldwide gathering of city representatives held once a year, has just been hosted by Bristol from 21-23 October 2018. More than 80 mayors from around the world were invited to attend by Marvin Rees, who is the Global Parliament of Mayors Treasurer as well as the Mayor of Bristol.
