The Education Endowment Foundation, in partnership with the Youth Endowment Fund, is making funding available to schools, charities, and other organisations with initiatives that could improve attendance and reduce exclusions amongst pupils aged 5- to 18-years in England and Wales.

Registered charities whose activities support and encourage the family to work as a cohesive unit in tackling problems that face one or more of its members can apply for grants of between £1,000 and £5,000 (but trustees will consider requests for higher amounts) through the Kelly Family Charitable Trust. The Trust will consider both capital and revenue grants. The Trust is happy to support requests for core funding as well as project-based grants, and actively encourages applications from relatively new organisations to help them become established.

A new £3 million fund has been launched to support youth-led social action projects across the UK. Not-for-profit organisations registered with an appropriate governing body can apply for grants of up to £50,000, and unregistered organisations can apply for grants of up to £15,000 for projects (lasting up to 18 months) which build children and young people’s confidence and skills, and empower them to take an active and leading role in developing solutions to issues which affect their lives and their communities.

The UK Youth Fund has opened for applications to it's Thriving Minds fund. This responds to the mental health impact of the pandemic by aiming to support young people and youth workers.

Applications are open to youth organisations in the UK, with a turnover of up to £500,000, ensuring they have the resources needed to properly engage with the programme, and implement and instigate learnings to improve their mental health provision.

The Age UK Small Grants Fund is an opportunity to bid for money to support activities that support the wellbeing of older people in your area.

The Small Grants Fund is open to any group, individual, or not-for-profit organisation. Applications are particularly encouraged from people and groups who are unable to access other small funding pots. The deadline to submit an application is Monday 14th March 2022.

The Anchor Foundation provides grants of between £500 and £10,000 per year to Christian Charities that encourage social inclusion through ministries of healing and the arts. Funding can be awarded for up to three years. The Foundation will consider applications for either capital or revenue funding but only in exceptional circumstances will grants be given for building work.

The Tudor Trust has announced a temporary closure to new applications. Not-for-profit groups and organisations with an income of less than £1 million have until the 31st March 2022 to submit an application before the year-long closure. The Trust funds a wide range of organisations working to support positive change in the lives of people around the UK who are on the edges of mainstream society and have limited access to resources and opportunities.

The British and Foreign Schools Society (BFSS) supports work that aims to improve the educational outcomes and life chances of Young Carers and Care Experienced Young People under the age of 25 living in the UK.

Applications must be new or innovative interventions that are evidence based, with an emphasis on evaluation and the intention that the intervention will be scaled up or replicated if successful.

Funding is available for one to five years

Funding is available to support innovative and creative arts and culture projects which open up conversations about dying, death and bereavement in new and creative ways. Hospice UK’s Dying Matters Community Grants Programme 2022 will award funding to registered charities, CIOs and CICs for projects that reach new and diverse audiences, with a particular focus on inequalities and inclusion.

The Postcode Local Trust has announced that its grants programme has re-opened for applications. Funded by players of the People’s Postcode Lottery, the Trust makes grants to support smaller charities and good causes in the South West of England for projects that have a positive impact on communities and the environment. Registered charities and CICs can apply for grants of up to £25,000, and other not for profit organisations can apply for grants of up to £2,500 to support both project and organisation core costs.
