We are also keen to hear from people who can offer short break to disabled children.

Bristol City Council is submitting an Expression of Interest to the Big Lottery Fund programme Fulfilling Lives: Ageing Better.

This is a two stage process:  the Expression of Interest is a strategic document, setting out the information, relationships and thinking that the Local Authority has towards older people and reducing social isolation, and for them to demonstrate their ongoing role and commitment to the principles of the Fulfilling Lives Programme.  The Expression of Interest does not identify VCS organisations, partners or project ideas.

From the 1st of April Bristol Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) will be taking over from NHS Bristol responsibility for commissioning the majority of NHS services in Bristol covering its 450,000 residents. Services are purchased from a range of sources including primary care, acute trusts, charities, social enterprises and private providers.

Sue Mountstevens has extended an open invite to the official launch of the Commissioner’s Community Action Fund on Wednesday, May 1 at 1600 at the Colston Hall, Bristol.

Police and Crime Commissioner Sue Mountstevens committed in her swearing in ceremony last November, to making a £200,000 fund available for communities to tackle issues in their local area related to the Police and Crime Plan. Working with the Police Community Trust the PCC is pleased to be able to open the fund for applications at this event.
